megan escutia, lcpc

Megan, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, meets each client where they are in their process and supports them as they move toward their most authentic self. She works with young adult woman experiencing life stressors, body image issues, symptoms of mood disorders, and times of transition.

Megan helps clients lessen irrational thinking patterns and self-defeating behaviors so they can move into a place of self-compassion and acceptance, where their needs are more fully met. She is a certified yoga teacher and yoga informed therapist who speaks to the mind/body connection and can incorporate body movement into sessions. She also promotes Health at Every Size® (HAES), a health-centered model that accepts and respects the diversity of body shapes and sizes. In addition to talk therapy, Megan can incorporate mindfulness, yoga informed psychotherapy techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy tools, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills.

Megan holds a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University.  Prior to entering private practice, Megan worked in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs where she treated adults in individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy settings.
