Casey Burden, LCPC, is an individual and group psychotherapist whose expertise is in the treatment of eating disorders, co-dependence, relationship struggles, trauma, and addictive/compulsive behaviors. 

As a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Casey is specialized in clinical counseling, complex trauma and the treatment of addiction disorders. She has created a recovery community at Center for Behavioral Medicine, offering both individual therapy as well as multiple weekly therapy groups. 

Casey is a collaborative and solution-focused therapist. Her style is to provide support, constructive feedback, and validation in order to assist clients as they work toward their treatment goals and tackle life’s challenges.

You’re thoughts and feeling express a belief. Can you take a moment to recognize the belief? Is it about yourself-I’m undeserving, I’m always falling short? Or is it from someone else in your life-you’re weird? You can’t trust people? After you identify the belief can you ask yourself questions like is this really true? Can I be certain it’s true? Think about what it’s like to love with this belief? Can you see it’s impact on your life? Your relationships? Self-growth? Tap into your most wisest, loving self and ask what do I need most? What message or energy might bring healing to myself? Offer that to yourself and to the place of vulnerability you are experiencing.
